A Pew Research survey across 10 countries found that people are often more likely to believe that living animals have spirits than to believe the spirits of their dead ancestors can help or harm them.
The gap is the biggest in TΓΌrkiye, where 81% believe living animals have spirits while 21% think our ancestors can still reach us. In Spain, most people donβt believe in either.
