I just had 3 conversations with Gemini Pro Extended Thinking. It all started from my refusal to watch two videos about Claude skills, but the first thread evolved into covering Gemini CLI, Qwen Code, Codex, Cursor, and Aider. I was also interested in a “skeptical senior eng” style. The bare minimum, OK? Two other threads followed, the last one being much shorter. The three chats, combined, took away 63% of a 5-hr token limit for a Pro plan (ouch). A fourth thread brought the usage to 74%.

I found the answers pretty decent, but this token usage makes it an impossible task for a Free or Plus account. Not within a 5-hr time window! Even a Pro account barely copes with a few questions. Quite a shame…
