A rare gem in a world of decay: The Graystones
Because of the few mega-retards of the planet, everything is breaking into pieces. As if cupidity, stupidity, and corruption weren’t enough, wars and a certain orange pithecanthrope’s tyrannic propensities made this planet almost unlivable. Even if the “normalcy” would return, what kind of normal is that of a lack of taste, of decency, of education? “Our future,” the children, listen to atrocious music, and they generally seem mentally retarded. And if this is valid even for Gen Z, what could be said of Gen Alpha?
Well, not entirely! One small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders!

Sorry, wrong movie.

San José, California, in a country on the brink of civil war. Ladies and gentlemen, meet…
🎞️ The Graystones!
The Graystones is a band of kids started by Grayson (drummer) with his best friend, Max (bass player), when they were 10. Now they’re at least 9 kids, aged 11-12, I guess. The girls are Hope (short hair recently) and Izzy (long hair). In their words: “We LOVE 70s and 80s music, but we also do more current songs. We love lots of different styles of music :)”
At the time of writing, their YouTube channel includes 31 videos [of which 3 are now unavailable, so 28] and 5 shorts. I hate vertical videos, but the very first one is worth watching: Grayson answers common questions about his drums.
Covers is all they do—what else?
The two most recent videos are “living room recordings.”
31 ● Billy Joel, “My Life” [NEW!]
30 ● Supertramp, “Breakfast in America”

This is the general style of the comments to their videos:
- I’m 67 years old, and it’s wonderful to be able to listen to and see you sing and interpret, like great artists, the songs we used to hear on the radio or on vinyl records as teenagers. It’s amazing to see how, even though we’re so young, you transport us back to those wonderful years of so many classic songs. Thank you so much.
- This is 1 of my favorite bands of all time. I’m 69 and you kids have done a perfect job with this song. Thank you.
- I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that these kids know and cover the best music ever made.
- The Graystones are now one of my favorite all time bands.
- They are truly fantastic! 💗
- The girls are absolutely fantastic singers. Very talented group.
- Guys! I can’t get enough of you! I’ve been listening to you for two months now, eagerly awaiting each new song. With every song, you get better and better! Magnificent!
- I’ve been playing music longer than you’re born. Each one of you are way more talented than I am. God is giving you all a gift. Amen.
- I can’t believe this. These kids are brilliant. Great great timing the harmony the rhythm. The vocals. I can’t get enough of these guys.
- This is beyond belief. Kids playing Supertramp. There’s still hope left!
- Best band of preteens ever. Now start composing, stay together and the magic will reign. I couldn’t love your sound anymore than I already do. Keep pitching. Keep the dream alive.
- It’s great seeing and hearing another generation enjoy the music of my 20’s some 50 years later 🎶👏
- Blows my mind at how good they are and their choice of songs too.
- Excellent, brilliant, music from our youth. There’s some hope for America with our younger generation into music, a band, a diversity of instruments, harmonious voices. God bless these youngsters. It takes a ton of practice and dedication and devotion to perform so well. Swell!
- A future for this mad world…
- They are amazing could listen all day.
- Incredible group of young people just doing what they love and so well. Continue please…
- You guys nailed this. Spot on. Timing, rhythm, harmony, vocals… Everything.
- Both girls look like they have teleported from the 70’s 80’s 🎉they have the look, the vibe, and the voices from that era- great harmonies voices meld and compliment each other- hope to see hope also feature – stay together u will go far.
- Hi guys, keep up the good work. I am a 79 year old musician, who has played all his life, and still playing in a band, some have it and some don’t and you guys defiantly have it. Excellent rendition of a timeless classic, keep up the good work, looking forward to your next post. PS. the two girls vocalist’s sound perfect together. 😀
- Amazing talent and accuracy! These kids need a huge spotlight on them across this country to show others how to spread joy and real music. Such a fantastic performance! Keep making music! Bravo!
- One the more time they don’t disappoint. These young people are fantastic. I hope they do a nationwide tour. They will blow doors off of other bands. Good for you, young people.
- I am an opera singer and vocal teacher, 25-year career: this is one of the most sofisticated levels of musicality I’ve seen in a band, whatever age. Good luck, my dear little ones, pursue music and please avoid either drugs or all disrespect for your physical integrity. Wishing you all the best!
- I’m 77 and was THERE when this music came out. I am so dang proud of you kids ! Not only for appreciating how great Rock, Folk and Country Music was at that time. But, even more important is your HYPER EXCELLENT presentation !! It’s obvious the EACH and EVERY member of this group takes his/her part seriously. And young folks, it SHOWS in your HIGH QUALITY music. Go young people, cause you be GREAT !!!
- I’m a 66 year old frustrated musician. Kudos to these kids. They are absolutely brilliant and may they continue to develop and excel.
- I’m 80 years old and the Eagles are my all-time favorite band… and let me tell you that you guys are awsome… great cover.
- I’m 63 and Eagles are one of the best bands ever. You all are absolutely amazing. The Lord will bless you even more for entertaining all of us. Thank you!
- I’m 65 and a long time Eagles fan. When I heard this I almost cried. So very well done. ❤
- Very, very good guys. I am 70 years and played guitar since I was about 8 years old. I remember learning these songs as they hit the air waves. I am so happy to see youngsters like all of you keeping the good ole’ music alive. I love it that the music that was created in the late 60s to the mid 80s still being played on the radios. Not like this crap they call music of today. To me it’s almost like handing a microphone to a monkey and pushing him on a stage with a computer making so called music. Keep up the fantastic work there!!!
- I would like to formally thank your parents for helping preserve the music we love.
- new generations + good old songs = perfection.
- Thank you. For being kids you guys rock!
- This sounds EXACTLY like the recording! The secret guys, is that this is what pure passion and heart can bring. Props to the bassist and guitarist for putting their all into this. The girl has an awesome soft spoken voice just like Timothy B. Schmidt. Insane.
- This group of kids represents everything good about America!! ❤
- Finally, my dream of the next generation of REAL musicians has come true. Now, I can go home…
- How can you not like these kids? Keep playing the music kids! You’re excellent!
- At the end you said “thank you for listening”. I say thank you for playing these great songs 🙏
- This is the most adorable thing ever. serious kids playing serious tunes and from the PAST. They played EXACTLY identical to the original recording, every note, every nuance including the drum part. They memorized every detail of it, not just playing the tune. And everything is recorded properly, not just using a camera mic in the air. Nice and clean environment too.
- This is better than the original !!!
- This is unbelievable. I guarantee these great musicians are not wasting their spare time on their phones. Excellent!
- Man ! This is what real music is supposed to be ! You young folks are getting better & better ! I had to wipe my 69-year old eyes ! I feel good to know that there are young people out there that cherish the classics from the years gone by. Do the Eagles proud ! Thank you all ! Best Regards ! Trinidad & Tobago. West Indies.
- I’m 65 and I’m blown away by the attention to detail. The nuances that made the song a classic are all there. This song brings back so many good memories of cruising in my ’72 impala with my friends. Keep up the good work guys.
- Mom and Dad must be so proud. I’m not related and I’m proud!
- I turned 65 years old yesterday. So refreshing to see this music staying alive by our youth.

They are one of my top video selections, each and everyone of them are talented and are destined to becoming super musicians in just a short time. I said in a previous comment that kudos to the sound tech. It sure helps the video to have a good balanced sound…..
- There’s something thrilling about a young band breathing new life into a beloved song. With raw talent, passion, and a deep respect for the original, they take the familiar and make it their own—every note, every beat filled with their unique energy. It’s not just a cover; it’s a reinvention, a testament to their skill and artistic vision. Watching them play, you can feel the connection—they’re not just performing, they’re living the music. Greetings from Romania.
- I’m overwhelmed by the talent at such a young age.
- I honestly prefer this version to the original. Well done guys ❤

- To hear a bunch of kids in San Francisco in 2025 play this very New York 1970s song is weird and delightful.
- I am a professional musician who has played all over the world so I know a little about music. And I LOVE THESE KIDS! I have gone back and watched older video’s and see how much they have progressed. Keep up the hard work but always keep it fun!

- The singer’s voice and mannerisms stand out the most expressing a maturity beyond her years…what a fantastic performance by the entire band 😊
- As a musician for over 40 years, this has just blown me away. The future is in good hands – you guys are fabulous.
- So grateful to be your mom, Hope! So thankful for your band family. Max, Grayson, Phillip, Ishaan, Harin – you amaze us all. Thankful to all the parents of these incredible kids! This ROCKS!

- This may be the greatest cover of all time.
- This young lady has stage presence in abundance she has nailed this and watch out for her in the future ❤
- Whoever is mixing the sound is doing an incredible job making sure everyone and all the instruments are heard.
- The drummer and bass player have it. They understand time. Never overplay. The two young ladies can sing at that age is amazing.
- Natural performers. I hope they stay together for many years.
- The sound that these two ladies bring at the same time is phenomenal.
- Little bass player killing it.
- The musicianship at that age is incredible. To the keyboard players, be sure to explore jazz and all the techniques jazz has to offer.
- The bass player is locked in!! Much respect.
- A bunch of kids with old Souls. Spectacular. trophy-yellow-smiling
- This young lady definitely hit the ball out of the park. Very much like Sade.
- There is not one person in that group that is the outstanding one they are all outstanding equally
- Man!…..That peanut bass player is ready for professional studio work. His timing/tempo is insane for such a little dude – and manning a full size Fender knock-off Bass no less! He jumped into that killer drive groove and held it flawlessly throughout a fairly challenging 3 minute+ song time signature. I listened closely and nary a beat was dropped or missed. Very impressive! 💹!
- Unbelievable, I’d actually pay to watch these live.
- I am 150 years old and watching this from heaven. No music like this here.
- These are not children, they are recycled old souls.
- What a voice!!! That girl has a simply spectacular voice. Congratulations to the band. Excellent!

I am a 72 year old great grandma who has lived through many generations of the BEST music and musicians ever… and I have to say that your talents go beyond words to describe. Every song, you make me feel deep in my heart. You are like well seasoned musicians. I pray that your dreams will come true for you…
- I absolutely love her voice, its so differently beautiful. ❤
- Every kid in this group is super talented but to me the glue that holds it alll together is the superb rythm section. The drum and bass is superb.that you will soar, and never be taken advantage of, but be well taken care of in your journey. The singer is amazing… amazing! And each member of the band holds their own with their exceptional performance. You all come across so professional. I can only image the success that you will achieve in your musical journey. God Bless.
- The more videos I watch of the Graystones the more I realize how they have the coolest bass player who is the CORNERSTONE of this fantastic group!!!! Ya’ll keep rocking!!!
- This girl has talent. Real God given talent. All these kids do. Her voice makes me want to cry ….with the yearning and the pain of losing a love. Chris Stapleton must be smiling…..best wishes from Kentucky USA!!!
- No words – this girl is a superstar!
- the bass player got me! AMAZING!
- Awe, COME ONE! This is the future in front of our eyes, proves real music can never diet. Brilliant. These children are naturals. What a future! WOW!
- I am so blown away. There is not one musician in the band that is not super impressive!
- I’m 74 in July and been constantly listening to music…this group is incomparable…..❤
- Music industry, pay attention. These kids and the singer are very pure and gold. Don’t let this group go in the wrongness of this evil world.
- Every so often our species will produce something pure and beautiful, and, I suspect, timeless. That is what I feel when I hear this young lady sing. It is her voice, but there is also that indescribable magic behind it; a genuine willingness and need to let us hear gold through the smog of this current world. I don’t know much in this life, but I know that when the sun shines it reigns. For as long as this young lady sings I will allow my soul to listen.
- These kids are amazing! The bassist is a stone cold killer!
- Another song from The Graystones that just takes my breath away. You all are absolutely amazing!
- Hey Greystones…a thick, fat, warm and lovely hugh from the Volkswagen Town Wolfsburg in Germany. YOU…..ARE….. AWESOME ❤❤❤ (((sorry, I am German… My English isn’t well)))
- I just found these kids and I’m burning through all of their videos. I feel like each one is better than the last. Such a talented bunch! Love them.

- Amazing! Also, loving that the kids look like kids… nothing age inappropriate. No gimmicky looks.
- I just suddenly have hopes in new generations 🙏👍
- These kids sounds like they’ve been touring for more than 10 years. Love it!
- I’m a 71 year old singer/keyboardist still writing music but no longer oerforming. You kids are great. I watch your keyboardist. He has talent and is creating a good style. Have fun. Renember, it is not about getting famous, it is about enjoying making music!
- This singer has better sense of pitch than many adult singers.
- The sax and the bass players can perform with real Sade band.
- I’m 67 year old Navy vet… guitar player….. I’m speechless 😊
- I love that these young people are actually playing real instruments and singing great music from my childhood and generation I’m 62 every single tune is played to the tee 👏👏👏👏
- Where in the world did these kids come from??? So Young and they’re killing it. So professional sounding at such an early age. They have such a natural talent, hope they continue this course.
- This girl singing the lead I swear to god has the voice of an angel. I’ve never heard a smoother more beautiful voice in my life.
- I’m 71, my music, these kids bring tears to my eyes and joy to my heart and most of all hope for a future, that I will not witness, and that looks so dark for them right now.
- The sax and bass were killing it.
- The drummer sets the tone and he isn’t missing a beat.
- OMG! What the what??? I can’t believe what I am hearing here. Like seasoned professionals. I am in awe.
- No need for fancy clothes or nudity. This is pure talent. Beautiful and amazing.
- These kids are better than a lot of adult bands I’ve heard!! 💯
- I have been playing music for 50 years. I’m in shock watching this. Absolutely amazing that these kids are so tight and polished at their age.
- Man alive, I love the sax. This is even better than the original.
- I was blown away by how rock solid the base player, drums and sax are. Pitch, tone, ensemble are all immaculate.
- Never thought I’d be a grown man and a 6th grade band groupie, but here we are.
- I’ve found my new obsession. A band worth binge watching!! This group is phenomenal!!
- Ok, if no one else is going to say it I will. That bass player and drummer are top notch players. They keep it so tight. Just amazing talent in all of them.
- It’s young people like this that give us hope!❤❤❤❤
- Simply brilliant. I’ve binge watched ALL their videos. Every one is a gem. They are breakout stars.
- Did I read 6th grade!? When I was in the 6th grade I was just learning what a C Major triad was. These kids are playing out covers at a high level. These kids are killin it. God bless their parents for setting them up with a lifetime of enjoyment by skillfully learning a musical instrument and learning to play with a group of young friends. Kudos Kids and bravo Mom n Dad.
- I don´t think I´ve ever seen or heard such a young, talented, entertaining and unique musical group as the Graystones in my lieftime ever before. And I´m 67 years old! 🤗🥰
- You all stick to your parts, no overplaying. Fantastic sound!👍👏👏👏👏🎶🎸🤠
- I feel like a proud parent when I see these kids doing such a great job.
- The guy on the bass, what an extraordinary job 🤟🏻
- I get chills every time I watch this, Izzy just destroys this song, she’s so good, cool horns too.
- I do not know anything about sound engineering, but whoever is recording and mixing this wonderful sound deserves a whole lot of credit… I mean, besides the obvious talent of these young people.
- Folks, these are 11 and 12 year olds and they are killin’ it!
- I can’t believe this band has 2 awesome singers! How’d they do that?
- These South Bay teenagers are undoubtedly the best band around! So talented! 😮
- Everything about this band gives hope. In a world where money, social media, “looks” and crappy music prevail, this is an oasis, a haven. Don’t ever stop rocking fellows. You’re all wonderful, unique. Play music for all of us musicians that didn’t make it and ended up in an office. Hugs and love from Greece. ❤️
- The only band with two golden voices 👏
- Whoever the sound engineer is for this band is a genius. Everything is perfectly balanced with every thing else!!! I just think they need recognition.
- These 2 girls harmonize perfectly. What more can I say. They are the band now and I believe sell out a decent size venue. Keep on rocking Graystones.
- The hours go by and I never tire of listening to the band.
- No matter which one of the two girls that sings the lead their voices always compliment each other. Perfect.
- So amazed by everyone of their performances. Kids out there take band in school! It’s free and you will never regret it. I am so angry with myself for thinking band was for nerds back in middle school and high school. Have loved music so much my whole life and would be able to show it and express myself so much better if only I had more of a musical background.
- The bass player works really hard, keep up the spirit brother 💪🏻
- Fantastic. Best video yet from then. The Drummer plays perfect rhythm and with total ease. As a drummer I appreciate that.
- I’m working with children rock bands since 30 years. This is the best band I’ve ever seen. Congratulations!
- I found them accidentally and I’ve been rolling all the songs! These kids are super talented!
- That Saxophone player is excellent. They’re all excellent.
- Bill Withers is turning in his grave right now! Not to shun this band, but to cheer them on! One of the best covers I have seen of one of my all time favorites! Great job y’all! Keep up the vibes!
- Sax solo on point❤
- I see all the comments referring to the band as “kids” and true, they are age-wise, but really they are musicians. enjoying them so much!🎉
- Wow. Made my day better. Thanks.
- I’ve been a musician all of my life (about 55 years) and I couldn’t even come close to what these kids are doing in 5th grade! They are awesome!
All of a sudden, America is less ugly.
I added to the list the latest cover by the kids at The Graystones: Billy Joel, “My Life”. It should have been the 31st, but in the meantime they made 3 videos private, so there are now 28 you can watch.
Some people don’t believe in the authenticity of the Graystones. Look at the comments by FeloniousPunk1.
While the mixing seems “too perfect,” after having watched all their videos (including those that are now unavailable), I can vouch for the voices of the two girls, Hope and Izabel. The drummer obviously uses electronic drums, but aren’t most musical instruments electronic these days?
If I were to be suspicious, the most surreal aspect is that the soundtrack is overall “too impeccable.” And there’s ZERO information on their website as to who they are from a legal standpoint and who is representing them. They could at least have incorporated themselves in Delaware or in Sheridan, WY 82801.
