As a New Year’s gift, Facebook decided I don’t exist
I have managed to post a comment to someone else’s Facebook post, and I was trying to write a post, when Facebook suddenly decided that I am not a person:
This is an abuse in itself. GDPR or no GDPR, when I created this account, I did not authorize Facebook to ask for and use a video recording of myself.
When I create a bank account online (sure thing, also using an ID card), the bloody software only needs seconds to decide not only that I am a human, but also that I am who I say I am. Not so for Facebook. “Within 48 hours” or “in about an hour,” their AI cannot decide which is which.
I did not submit any fucking appeal to anything! It’s the fucking retarded FB who decided I was not a real person! Are those “Community Standards” against robots? “Hey, robot, you submitted an appeal and want to be reclassified as a human! Well, just wait.”
The best gift anyone (I can’t say if God or some Luigi Mangione guy) could make to humankind would be to have Mark Zuckerberg dead.
UPDATE: It took them about an hour, actually:
They cannot even be coherent regarding the reasons:
- Am I not a real person, as implied by the behavior of FB when it requested a video of me?
- Was I in breach of the Community Standards, as suggested in an e-mail that mentioned “the security of my account” as being part of the Community Standards?
- Or was it “my account, or activity on it” that “didn’t follow” their fucking Community Standards?
WTF do they mean by “it still doesn’t follow our Community Standards on account integrity”?! And, regarding “You may have the right to challenge our decision in your country’s courts, or refer our decision to a certified dispute settlement body”:
- I only “might” have a right?
- Which courts, exactly, and based on which law? Are they expecting me to pay a lawyer to fight for my right to access their shit of a social shit?
- What kind of fucking “certified dispute settlement body”?
Their shitty software is broken or even more abusive, if this is even possible:
- “Download your information” leads to https://www.facebook.com/checkpoint/dyi/?referrer=disabled_checkpoint, which is unavailable for disabled accounts.
- “Read more about account integrity” leads to https://www.facebook.com/policies/community-standards/account-integrity/?ref=learn_more_disabled_checkpoint, which is unavailable for disabled accounts.
When you’re sentenced without a specific accusation and without the right to defense and to appeal within the platform, this is Stalinism. Mark Zuckerberg, the day you die, I’ll throw a party, you shithead!
FB’s way to blackmail real people not consenting to FB using their data, activity and preferences for their own ends… FB is constantly harassing me with this in the last months, so I guess I’ll be on their wiping list. Remember, who’s not useful is in the way. You’re not useful to them in the way they want. And you’re opinionated, not in the way they want. Their way of wishing you a happy new year, and a nice life, so go on, be yourself, with panache! F*** FB.
When I told my brother that the three billion facebook users are all stupid idiots he refuted that so many people cannot be wrong.
